Home.

I love my home!

asniloveschocolate:

It has been six months since I last slept in my own comfy bedroom in Kota Bharu, and today I managed to convince Abdul to spend our night here in my home sweet home :) [for few hours only, though.) Yes, yes, it's a very brief visit to KB, as we only arrived at 2p.m. today and will depart to KL at 3a.m. tomorrow! But, it's all worth it! I love my home! Yay! And now, let's meet Abah's:

Cikgu, please.

If we don't model what we teach, we are teaching something else.

asniloveschocolate:

Situation I:

All-girls boarding school, last two weeks.

9 a.m.: A girl was suffering from terrible headache. Waited for the school bus to take her and other sick students to the hospital. But the bus driver was nowhere in sight.

2 p.m.: The same girl continued waiting for the school bus. In great pain, still. No bus.

2.30 p.m. : A school teacher wanted to take a student with a broken leg to the hospital. The girl with the headache begged the teacher to bring her along. She couldn't endure the pain anymore. The teacher refused. Normal headache, the teacher said.

6.00p.m. : The girl managed to go to the hospital. Finally!

Few days later, the doctor broke the news. The girl is suffering from brain tumor. Poor kiddo!

Situation II:

The same boarding school, early this week.

My sister of 16 years old was called by her PK HEM on Tuesday afternoon. Interrogating as to why she was not in school on Monday. (She was supposed to be in the school by 6p.m. on Sunday). "Gastritis, I was given a two-day MC from Monday to Tuesday." replied my sister. "Ye ke sakit? Elok je jalan!". OMG Cikgu! That was harsh! Please check my sister's record. Full attendance, I assure you. And please consider the fact that she insisted me to send her to the school on Monday, although in actual fact, she did have the option to laze around until Tuesday, if she wishes to! Cikgu, just because my younger sister didn't break her leg or cut her finger (something visible to your eyes), that doesn't mean she's not sick! Look what happen to the brain tumor girl!Oh my! Cikgu, you're supposed to be their guardian angel! Don't you think? And guess what, that's only part of the story. I think I'll save the rest for later. *Am totally dissapointed*

Che Wah.

World without rules

asniloveschocolate:

Met Amrah for our lepak session last Saturday and managed to convince her to spend the night at our place and watch this up to 2 o'clock in the morning. Hihi. Didn't manage to complete the whole first season though. And in return, she persuaded Asna and I to watch this at Pavilion yesterday. Was reluctant at first but finally agreed to join her at the GSC. Though some of the scenes (especially those featuring the Joker) are pretty depressing and did make me a bit uncomfortable, but overall, the movie is awesome! As fellow TKCians would say - smerce gell!!! ;p (co2000, tu bahasa kolej kan?! No? Yes? Heh.)

Sedar diri ;)

Got the looks? The poise? Got the dream?

asniloveschocolate:

KLCC Concourse, yesterday afternoon: No, we didn't join the Estee Lauder Model Search 2008 (sedar diri, hehe...anyway, to those who are interested, today is the last day!), but we managed to have a quick lunch with Ira and do some catching-up. No, nothing intellectual/legal/political. Sorry ;)

Fish &Co, Bangsar Village, last night: No, we're not celebrating DSAI's release after a day in captivity (though Fad might be hoping to have one, hehe!), but it's Fad's 25th birthday surprise dinner! ;) As written on the delicious cake, Happy Quarter Century Fadiah Nadwa! We love you :)

xoxo, Gossip Girl

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me.
Xoxo, GossipGirl

asniloveschocolate:

Abdul is currently attending a course, so I have the whole day for myself. Been watching Gossip Girl episodes since this morning and feel like completing the whole season today!!! *wink* Really curious as to who is the mysterious Gossip Girl. But don't think it will be disclosed though. Anyway, despite Leighton Meester's vain character in Gossip Girl (as Blair Cornelia Waldorf), I do find her adorable. So does Penn Badgley. Comel jek. :)

Kenangan Terindah

No love, no friendship can cross the path of our destiny without leaving some mark on it forever.

asniloveschocolate:

Adrina and I will be leaving our current company soon. Our three-month resignation notice is to expire in two weeks time. Since Adrina and I joined the same company on the same day and joined the present department on the same date, many people assume that we've earlier planned our departure from the current company for good, together. But, that's not the case. It truly is a coincidence. To Adrina, my ex-schoolmate for two years, my roomie for four years, my classmates at the university for five years, my colleague for two years, my current lunch partner...and most of all, my friend for good nine years...am going to miss you so much! :,(

And to K.Pah and K.Zura, our favourite sisters in the office and of course, our partners in crime...thank you for the thoughtful "Kenangan Terindah Asni & Adrin" slideshow played during our farewell party, thank you for making us smile when things were tough... thank you for listening and thank you for the friendship...we'll definitely miss you guys and your crazy jokes...*sob*

Ayat-ayat cinta.

Nothing like her.

asniloveschocolate:

- Fahri ]- Ayat - Ayat Cinta. No. Am yet to read the novel. But yes, it is such a beautiful movie. One thing for sure, I'm not as strong, as patient and as sincere as Aisha. Am nowhere near her. Moga -moga Allah faham. Wallahualam.

Hancock.

There are heroes… there are superheroes… and then there’s Hancock

asniloveschocolate:

Hancock - It's neither a great movie nor a bad movie. Hence, couldn't give it a high rating. Personally, I think the movie should add more backstory (perhaps, with flashbacks and all) on how Hancock and his other half were made in pairs, married and later separated, and also on the incidents which led them to be the last two of their kind. In short, I like it but it could have been better.

Shoes.Shoes.Shoes.

It's just a passion for shoes, shoes, shoes...

asniloveschocolate:

Comelnye signage!

Comelnye website...so chic!

Comelnye kasut, so princess-ey (suits you Adrina!)
And those
come in a cute shoe-box style package too!

An hour escape from the mundane office routine to the comel world of Shoes,Shoes,Shoes this afternoon, was absolutely worthwhile!

You & Me.

You and me.

asniloveschocolate:

Borrowed Adrina's dvd, Sex and The City two days ago and managed to force Abdul (who detests chick-flicks) to watch it with me. *LOL* Featuring four women of strong and different character - it really is a great girlfriends movie :) Too bad I watch it with my better half ;) But what I love most about the movie is the way it portrays the friendship between the four women, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. Married or not, it remains strong and solid! I like! And yeah, Carrie's small but stylish apartment - I like that too! :)

The following night, I watched P.S. I Love You by Richard LaGravenese. Alone, initially. After few minutes, my eyes started to get teary. I rushed to the computer room, hugged Abdul and cried hard. Abdul was clueless. Why, he asked. Repeatedly. I sobbed. It took me several minutes to actually open my mouth. I explained the reason to him and cried again. I went out of the room to continue watching the movie. After a while, he joined me and hugged me throughout the entire movie. My sobbing continued, now and then. P.S. Abdul, I Love you.

I whine.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.

asniloveschocolate:

Opened my notebook this morning, logged into my Microsoft Outlook E-mail account and saw a beautiful e-mail from my dear friend, Hida. Blessing.

Today, upon a bus,
I saw a very beautiful woman.
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunset's glow.
With ears to hear what I'd know.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

With good health, with a job at hand and with few notes in my purse - Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

With a loving husband, a caring family and beautiful hearted people called friends by my side -Oh, God, forgive me when I whine. I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

Hida, thank you for sharing such a meaningful poem. :)
