My family is currently in KL until next Monday and am so very happy as I miss them loads for the past weeks! Yay! Decided to take my dearest sisters and a cousin of mine for a midnite movie and they chose to watch this. Am in love with the song played at the end of the show, The Call by Regina Spektor . Go listen! Me? Been listening to the song over and over again since last night ;)

Bought two cards for two special persons in our life.

One had been given personally to our dearest Mak yesterday morning.

And the other one, had been posted via Poslaju yesterday. Hopefully, it will reach our beloved Ummi before the end of 11 May 2008.

To Ummi, Mak and all the wonderful mommies in the world, please bear in mind that there isn't a day of the year that you are not special. Happy Mother's Day 2008!Ummmmiiiiii, rindu... :,(

Exercise like Olympians, Eat like a horse. Hehe.

My day usually starts after 10a.m. or 11 a.m. during weekend [after all the sleepless nights and the busy working days, I believe I deserve some extra rest ;p ]. But, was forced by Abdul to do something which is not to my liking this morning - jogging!

I did follow him to the park though - reluctantly. And guess what, I stopped running after few minutes and started to take my own sweet time walking thereafter.Hehe. ;) Abdul? He managed to jog around the park for three rounds.

But gemuk he still is. Thanks to OLDTOWN White Coffee's F&B. *wink, wink* To Abdul, "baik tak yah exercise! =p "

Grrr.

And a lot of people would also call that war-profiteering.

Mariati Binti Hj. Sirat, this morning. Al-Fatihah. May you remain strong and positive throughout this difficult time. And we know you will, Insya Allah.

Am currently on medical leave, since yesterday and will only resume work tomorrow. Insya Allah. As usual, was in front of my laptop, completing the neverending work assignments and replying e-mails from internal clients (in my current company, we refer them as "the Process Owners") this morning when I received the following e-mail from my big big boss, enclosing a picture with "Asni at work with a smile!" written on it :

Dear Asni,

The working trip and function in PD with you have been a useful and fun session for me. I enjoyed myself and I hope the same goes to you. One thing for sure, I’ll miss your presence after July but then life must go on, right?

Enjoy the photos especially the one taken in the room where you were working very hard. Too bad the process owner will never be able to see as to how hard you have been working to meet the dateline……….!! Ignore the hanging towel at the seat!! Will send you more photos since the mailbox is already full…………

Having read her short e-mail, all the sleepless nights, the long working hours and the never-ending assignments, suddenly seem worth it. 1) As many are aware, MAS: RM0 Everyday Low Fare promotion starts today. Was searching for return tickets to few places but all were sold out, and it's only 3 o'clock in the evening! Managed to get Asna a ticket from Kota Bharu to KL though, and at a very reasonable rate too! 50% cheaper than Air Asia's - Abah is so gonna love me for being smart with his credit card ;)

2) Been intending to book a flight ticket to this one particular place since a month ago, but only got the chance to browse through this page today. Was discussing with Abdul via cell when I realized that the airline ticket fare increased by RM100, just after 10 mins. I quickly purchased the ticket online and guess what, the fare has increased by another RM100 when Abdul checked the same an hour later. Gosh.

3) Wanted to try out this budget airline for a domestic trip, but had a second thought and decided otherwise. Though had been on a Fokker many years before, I personally feel it looks quite fragile for an airplane. Maybe next time, Insya Allah.

Time and time again

Was on official duty in Port Dickson for a good three days and only came home on 30th April, a day before the Labour Day. Found out from Abdul that our dear friend, Shukor, has been hospitalized in Hospital Tawakal due to heart problem. I was in total shock. Shukor has always been a cheerful person and never did he give any indication that he's having health issues. Thanks to Allah, he was discharged from the hospital yesterday but still in need of follow-up treatments. Apparently, Shukor's heart rhythm is found to be irregular and such condition is caused by a "short-circuit" in his heart's electrical system. Let us pray for his health and also ours. Amin.

Having to leave Abdul behind, time and time again, is obviously, not a fun thing to do. But as the old English idiom goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder, we survived. ;) Spent the whole Labour Day afternoon with him at DELIcious, Bangsar Village. In love with their mouth-watering, saliva-dripping menu names - Simply Delicious CheeseBurger, Chocolicious Sundae, Applelicious Pie & Berrilicious Chocolate Pavlova. Harhar.The taste? Not bad, I must say. But of course, those can also be found elsewhere (minus the names I guess). Oh,Bangsar Village is currently holding the Great FJ Benjamin Branded Sale from 2 - 4 May '08. Go, if you must. Hehe. Us? We ended up buying nothing. Lack of choices, I would say. =]

Abdul aside, my Labour Day was only complete when I received a call from my parents that they're already in KL. Yay! The timing was perfect as Abah celebrates his birthday today. To Abah, I may have said this many many times before, and unfortunately, you will hear/read this time and time again in many many years to come, Insya Allah - Asni Loves You! You're the bestest Abah in the whole wide world, and I mean it with all my heart! Semoga Allah memberkati umur Abah, memurahkan rezeki Abah dan semoga Abah sihat selalu. Amin.
