Looking Back At 2007

I suffer from short term memory loss. It runs in my family.

asniloveschocolate:

In the next few hours, the year 2007 would be history as it shall give way to a new human calendar year - 2008. Looking back at 2007, I shall remember it as the year of personal transformation and big change. Here are some highlights of the year:

Jan - Asni was eager to start a blog of her own, her personal thinking space - to pen down her thoughts and to record her so-called Dory memories.

Feb- Asni's engaged to her boyfriend of four years, Abdul dearest.

Mar- Asni turned 24.

Apr- Asni finally found two wedding dresses of her taste and she loved them, totally! =)

May- Abdul & Asni completed their graduate study. And yeah, Asni's Pink & White Bachelorrette Party was also held in the same month.

June - Asni's married to her fiance of four months, Mr. Abdul dearest.

July - Asni's work transfer application to a department of her choice was officially approved.

Aug - Abdul and Asni received their second scroll.

Sept - Abdul & Asni - their first Ramadhan together.

Oct - Asni's first Eid Fitri with her husband & in-laws dearest.

Nov - Asni's youngest sister of twelve years old passed her UPSR with flying colours!

Dec - Asni's sister of fifteen years old passed her PMR with flying colours!

A happy year indeed. Farewell 2007 and Hello 2008!

Wheee!

When a husband brings his wife flowers for no reason, there's a reason.

asniloveschocolate:

Dear B,

I love you but here's my two cents:

:: spending time with your significant other, doing what she loves most = excellent effort!
:: spending time with your significant other, watching this & this= bad move!
:: spending time with your significant other, watching this & this, in one night = unwise decision!

Hence, the conclusion is - just let me pick the movies next time around, okie? Wheee! =p

Love, Asni

It is the Alethiometer. It tells the truth. As for how to read it, you'll have to learn by yourself.

asniloveschocolate:

1. Harry Potter v. The Golden Compass

Though Harry Potter and The Golden Compass do have something in common - both are inspired by fantasy novels written by famous authors, J.K. Rowling and Philip Pullman respectively, I nonetheless prefer the former. It's hard not to fall in love with those interesting and adorable characters - Luna Lovegood, in particular. =) (But hey, come to think of it, I also like the latter's Serafina Pekkala.) She's simply gorgeous.

2. Dakota Fanning v. Dakota Blue Richards.

Though the character of Lyra Belacqua is played by a new Dakota - Dakota Blue Richards, Miss Dakota Fanning, to my mind, is still one of the best Hollywood young actor, still. =)

3. Ring of Power [Lord of The Rings] v. Alethiometer [The Golden Compass]

I'll definitely pick the Alethiometer. Cool gadget!

.Delicious Weekend.

Honey, it's beyond delicious!!!

asniloveschocolate:

From the infamous -but to be a bit careful with its reliability- source, Wikipedia, I quote:"Umbai is a town situated between Jasin-Central Melaka border in Melaka. The famous Umbai's Medan Ikan Bakar is located in Umbai Beach". With Johore in laws and Kota Bharu family gathered at the same place - it's a delicious weekend indeed.

.cab drivers' scam.

Christmas Comes Early!

asniloveschocolate:

Being nominated to attend a 3-day course which revolves around high level technical issues, is of course an honour (errr...I'm trying to be positive here *wink*) and to know that such course is to be held in a very familiar place, is undoubtedly a bonus! =)

Yup yup - a chance to get away from daily routines at work and do something else - for instance; to have lunch with your then bridesmaids like Kano & Ira or to do some catching-ups with your then chambering-mates like Baraq & Miera .*All smiley*

Anyway, being familiar with a place is obviously an advantage as it may help oneself including moi in avoiding cab drivers' scam. To charge a fixed price of RM15 instead of a usual RM5 should you use the meter? And it's not even late at night?!! ( Like "Heylo"????!!!). People, careful!

En.Chant.Ed.

Would you like me to call someone for you?
I don't think they would hear you from here.

LESSONS LEARNT - November 2007

1.To check the signing page thoroughly when drafting/reviewing documents. Or else you might end up in CEO's office on a working night.

2. To work from 8 a.m. until 9-10 p.m. 5 days a week is unhealthy. You might fall sick twice in a fortnight.

3. To put all work-related communication into writing- be it with your boss, your staff, your colleague or your clients. Yes, even if it only involves trivial matter like conveying your boss's message to the administration staff about an attendance list. So that you won't be blamed unnecessarily!

4. To have a back-up plan for everything including your plan for a movie outing with a bunch of TKC girls, for instance - to watch ENCHANTED @ CineLeisure. Just in case your programme coordinator, for eg. Atie fails (due to an unavoidable & absolutely acceptable reason) to show up on that particular day. =p [Thanks for the tickets-booking Atie - an enchanting movie, it is! =) and of course for dropping by to meet us!]
