@abduL's:090607

My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to.Your dreams stay big, your worries stay small. You never need to carry more than you can hold. And while you're out there getting where you're getting to.I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too.Yeah, this, is my wish

Abah laughed, hard.

Now You See It, Now You Don't!

asniloveschocolate:

I was on four-day course in PJ since Tuesday, hence would be home hours before Abdul did. I don't know what came into me yesterday, but a rare thought crossed my mind - I wanted to surprise Abdul by cooking dinner for him.

So, alone in the kitchen, I struggled to remember everything. Everything that Abdul taught me for the past two months. After few minor kitchen incidents, a simple dinner was finally ready to be served by moi to him -a perfectly fried egg, fried scramble egg & sardine. That was my first time, mind you. =p Glad you (pretended to) like them Abdul, heh. Hugs.

After dinner, I went straight to the living room, picked up the phone and called Abah..."Abah, tangan Asni kene kuali...ade parut...waaaa" And as usual....Abah laughed, and he laughed hard.Sob!

poNd Squat!

The school's toilet bowls are repeatedly clogged by sanitary pads dumped into them. The school prefects have had to use their bare hands to pull out the pads

asniloveschocolate:

Coming from an all-girls boarding school, with 'being lectured by seniors' as the most horrible experience, the pond squat issue definitely caught my attention. The decision taken by a female English teacher cum a warden to make almost 200 girls squat in a fish pond really shocked me.

Despite her basis of judgment & good intention- that the action taken was basically to discipline the students- and despite the burden that she carries- I personally think that the girls shouldn't have been treated in such an unreasonable way. There are obviously better ways to do so, kan Fizzy ?

Having read today's paper, it's amazing to see how kind and forgiving the parents of the girls are. Wee Yim Pien, you're very lucky. I hope everybody has learnt their lesson - the students, the parents, the teachers and the government - everyone has a role to play. Definitely.

Speaking of the issue, it reminds me of a friend's view on the same: "Manja sangatlah budak2 sekarang ni!". He spent 5 years in a military college , mind you.

Adrina & I

Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget

asni? yep, asni je. takde nor asni, nurul asni, or even siti asni. i knew she existed in college, didnt get to really be friends with her sgt, probably she was bz then with netball. hrm..she was a prefect ngan house capt dulu. frankly, the first impression when i saw her was..'uiyo, masamnyer..takleh senyum ke?' trok kan dia? then finally i got stuck with her in uia, and 'coincidently' became good friends till now (its been like what..3 yrs already?) well, asni's a great friend, she can be all bubbly and energetic..but she can be moody gak.(same species la kite) but above all, she's a really really good friend. she's a great listener, and caring gak (cant leave that out). she loves chocolate! both of us would but chocolate byk2 esp during those times nak dkt2 finals..we would gobble up 3-4 chocolate bars a day..and still asni maintains her supermodel figure. me? i normally gain 3 kilos instead..how more cruel could life be??asni a developing guy magnetic force. she has all types of lelaki chasing after her, but still, she maintains her cool (kagum sungguh)..heh..she sticks to the one she wants tho..bagus kan? ehem2well, i guess i wouldnt trade this gal for anyone else in the world as my great buddy!! yay!

.::adrin, 9 June 2003::.

asniloveschocolate:

We never claim ourselves as bestfriends and we know we never will, but somehow, for some unique reasons, in one way or another, our paths have always crossed.

Ex-schoolmates for two years, uni mates for almost five years, roomies for 4 years, classmates cum deskmates for every semester back in uni, funded by the same sponsor for 8 semesters, working in the same company but in different departments for the past 8 months and also my current lunch partner.

But starting next month, we'll be placed in the same department and we'll be colleagues, our paths shall cross, again. =)

We do have our misunderstandings and miscommunications, and each of us has our own flaws, but such things make us understand each other even more. Little things that she does like giving me chocolates everytime I cry (knowing my liking for chocolates), letting me choose the place to eat everytime we go out (knowing that I am a picky eater) and washing the already clean fork & spoon everytime I want to eat (knowing my prior-eating habit) show how much she understands me, how much she cares and for that I'm touched.

To Adrina, thank you for the friendship, chica!*huGs*

Who'll take the blame?

I do not sleep: I see, I hear, I speak,I smell sweet savors and I feel soft things

If I can't apologize for being wrong
Then it's just a shame on me
I'll be the reason for your pain
And you can put the blame on me

.::Sorry, Blame It On Me, Akon::.

asniloveschocolate:

Did you watch last nite's Oprah? Just found out that there are basically 8 billion ATM transactions annually and all the receipts from such transactions are one of the major contributors of litter on our earth. The show also encourages the viewers to decline their receipts after every ATM transaction as it will save a roll of paper more than 2 billion feet long, sufficient to circle the equator more than 15 times. Thank goodness I've never taken any of those receipts!!!

Have you read today's The Star? Just found out about the police report lodged by Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib on Monday, 23 July 2007, against Malaysia Today website. As I read the news, one simple question popped into my head: national security and public interest against fundamental liberties (including freedom of speech) - can we ever find the common balance between them? Hrmm...

Have you ever listened to the song "Sorry, Blame It On Me" by Akon? The lyrics are beautifully written and the song sounds so sincere and emotive. Amazing! Don't you think so? Go listen!

no, it's not.

There shall be no peace or prosperity on this island for a period of seven generations

asniloveschocolate:

Remember last week? Ummi & Abah managed to meet us only for less than 24 hours. Hence, fully sponsored trip to be with them in Langkawi, from 20 July 2007 till 22 July 2007 .Free two-way airline tickets, free accomodation, free food & free ride - thanks parents dearest. No, it's not our honeymoon vacation, heh.Abdul, u still owe me one!

Langkawi has always been equated with Mahsuri. It was well told that Mahsuri had cursed Langkawi before her death by swearing that there would be no peace or prosperity on the island for the duration of seven generations. The so-called Mahsuri's curse is believed to be over upon the birth of Wan Aishah, Mahsuri's seventh descendant. Coincidentally, the island is rapidly developing ever since. But to what extent the legend corresponds to the truth is for us to find out.

a laDy gyNae

A gynaecologist is one who listens to the patter of tiny foetuses

Moi: So, can you be my gynae? (when the time comes of course, heh)

Yanie: Yup, bolehla...I think so...(*smiling*)

Moi: Great! (*LOL*)

asniloveschocolate:

Yanie, the first doctor in our batch, co2000. Really proud of her! Heard that Fazlin, Farina, Faha and Dayah will be following her footsteps soon, Insya Allah. All the best chicas! Wow, lucky me - as a person who prefers a lady gynae - I guess I'll have no problemo! =p To Yanie, had a great time with you this eve, dear! Take care! *Hugs* To the rest of YOU, have a great weekend! =)

Eat right, exercise regularly, die anyway

It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog. It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log.But when I get home to you I find the things that you do.Will make me feel alright

.::A Hard Day's Night Lyrics,The Beatles ::.

asniloveschocolate:

Am not feeling very well. Headache, tummy ache, ulcer, sorethroat. Hence, less eating and less talking. And obviously Abdul is the happiest person alive right now =p Less eating means no cooking by him, less talking means no grumbling or complains from moi. What more can he ask for?! =p Oh?! No.It's nothing like you imagine. Not yet, at least. Heh. I'm just sick. Ya Allah, please restore my health. Amin.

Talking about being sick, that reminds me that I've never used the free medical service provided by my company. In fact, I've yet to utilize any benefit given! It's either the company should be thankful for having an employee like me or it's me who should bang my head against the wall for being so UNWISE. Hrmmm....uhuk!

In the name of LOVE

In the name of love there's nothing that I would not do

Baby, I Don't Know What Love Is.Maybe I'm A Fool.I Just Know What I'm Feeling.And It's All Because Of You.Don't Tell Me.I Don't Know.I Want The Truth.Cuz They Call It.We Call It.You Call It.I Call It Love.
.:: I Call it Love, Lionel Richie::.

asniloveschocolate:

In the name of love, Ummi & Abah came all the way from Kota Bharu just to be with us for only 14hrs.

In the name of love, Abdul and I went to Segamat, all the way from Kuala Lumpur, to attend his sister's engagement ceremony.

In the name of love, Abdul drove 5 hours non stop from Johor so that we both could make it to KLIA to say our farewell to Aboon who's leaving for Aussie last nite. (Boona, miss you already.*sob*)

Acting is not being emotional, but being able to express emotion

asniloveschocolate:

Have always loved Dakota and her acting.

Now, fallen in love with Evanna Lynch. Evanna's personality is kinda cool in her own weird way. Really like the way she speaks aussi! Very soft-spoken with a comel tone. She did a fabulous job as Luna Lovegood in the latest Harry Potter movie - as the film producer, David Heyman puts it, Evanna is Luna. Wonderfulicious!

.::simPly beiNg Curious::.

I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious.

"...Fancied China got off to a rousing start in the Asian Cup Finals, beating Malaysia 5-1 in the opening Group C match at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil here last night..." -Five-star China hand Malaysia a thrashing, The Star, 11 July 2007

asniloveschocolate:

Abdul wanted to watch the Asian Cup (Malaysia v China) last nite, leaving me with no choice but to glue my eyes on the screen. And suddenly I saw the following tiny writings at the bottom of the screen:

Possession:
Malaysia : 48%
China : 52%

Being the curious Asni, I asked him.

Moi : Macamane possession boleh kire in percentage pulak?
Abdul: Ikut berapa lame that particular team pegang bola.
Moi : Ooh... (dalam hati: tengok lagi bola dengan Asni, huhu!serves you right! *LOL*)

..and the memories remain...

We must always have old memories and young hopes

"...The prestigious Kolej Tunku Kurshiah in Seremban and the English Language Institute in Gombak would be relocated to the new RM1.2bil Education Ministry complex in Nilai..." - Elite college to be relocated to Nilai, The Star, 9 July 2007

asniloveschocolate:

So long, farewell, it's time to say goodbye...Goodbye Bukit Merbah...*sob* :,(

Picture this. TKC has been relocated. The annual TKC OGA day is held. The old girls participate as usual. Good food, enjoyable activities, nice ambiance and great new buildings. But would the feeling be the same? A big question mark.

::menOpause tHe musicaL::

The hilarious celebration of the women and the change!

Four women at a department store lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra and hot flashes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex, and more! Last presented in Kuala Lumpur in 2004, Menopause The Musical is a joyful parody of 25 re-lyricised classic pop song hits features such chart-toppers as “I Heard It Thru the Grapevine; You No Longer See 39” and the disco favourite “Stayin’ Awake! Stayin’ Awake!”
-:The Actors Studio:-

asniloveschocolate:

Hilarious yet educational. Qayya, Adrin and I couldn't stop laughing throughout the 2-hour show. The singing, acting and dancing were SUPERB!!! The show also has given us a general idea on how exactly menopause affects the lives of women. Hrmmm...no wonder those women are so grumpy! Go watch!Highly Recommended! =) And yeah, I really love the re-lyricised songs too - catchy with witty yet informative lyrics!!! =) ~staying awake! staying awake!~ *winK* The King and I, anyone? =)

A Friend Is One of the Best Things in Life

Though we don't see each other very much
nor do we write to each other very much
nor do we phone each other very much
I always know that, at any time I could call, write or see you
and everything would be exactly the same
You would understand everything I am saying
and everything that I am thinking

Our friendship does not depend on being together
It is deeper than that
Our closeness is something inside of us
that is always there
ready to be shared with each other
whenever the need arises

It is such a comfortable and warm feeling
to know that
we have such a lifetime friendship

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

To a friend dearest,

In responding to your long e-mail, I believe the poem by Susan Polis Schutz says it all.

And no dear, u're not losing me.

Hugs, Asni

fiGht for yoUr dreamS

Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.

:pic from download-by:

First and foremost the evening is for her. It's to remember her and to commemorate her life and celebrate it.- William & Harry

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

As I'm writing this entry, Concert for Diana is being aired on tv. The concert is basically a tribute to the late Princess Diana, in conjunction with her supposed 46th birthday, by both her princes, William and Harry. Am watching it since 7.30p.m. but don't think will stay up till 1.30a.m though. Tomorrow's a working day, remember?!. Huhu!

Talking about the concert, the ballet performance with theatrical theme by Swan Lake really caught my attention. I was mesmerized. The performance was beautiful indeed. And Joss Stone with her barefeet, reminds me of a young Malaysian singer, Elyana.

It is the dream of William and Harry to have a musical celebration of their mother's life and they'd pulled it off. I, too, have dreams...and I will definitely follow my heart and fight for them. =)

And to Adrin, I'm happy that I've listened to my heart today... Hence, a big thank YOU! *huGs*

maChines that Transform!

Their war. Our world

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

Definitely not a fan of those transformable machines, but being an obedient wife, I accompanied Abdul to watch the film. Huhu! =p By the end of the show, I was like "Waaa, Abdul, nanti boleh pegi tengok sorang tak kalau ade Transformers II?" *LOL* To the rest of Transformers fans out there, no offence, huh? =) But hey, tell you what, I kinda like Bumblebee though. Strong yet sensitive. And passionate in music too.Just like Abdul. *wink*

psst: Happy birthday to a.Kaie dear!!! Glad our path crossed, big brother ! Take care! =)
