What your sleeping position says about you ...

Foetus
Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position.

Log
Lying on your side with both arms down by your side. These sleepers are easy going, social people who like being part of the in-crowd, and who are trusting of strangers. However, they may be gullible.

Yearner
People who sleep on their side with both arms out in front are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely ever to change it.

Soldier
Lying on your back with both arms pinned to your sides. People who sleep in this position are generally quiet and reserved. They don't like a fuss, but set themselves and others high standards.

Freefall
Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and don't like criticism, or extreme situations.

Starfish
Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don't like to be the centre of attention.

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

Life has been very hectic lately. I wish I have more time to do things that I love, especially SLEEPING! Heh. Anyway, my sleeping position is...foetus, but contrary to the above pic, I do cover myself from head to toe when I sleep, even at noon! =p So, what's yours? =)

Ummi's Love

A mother's love is instinctual, unconditional, and forever.

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappointments
And calm all of our fears.

There are times when only a Mother's love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we have dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.

There are times when only a Mother's faith
Can help us on life's way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.

For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith
And a Mother's steadfast love
Were fashioned by the Angels
And sent from God above.

+Michael Olakunle Adesanya+

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

The poem is very descriptive of my feeling towards Ummi. Talking to Ummi is like talking to a best friend. And that's why she's my official secretkeeper, together with two other persons, whose identities are yet to be revealed . =)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, UMMI! LOVE YOU!

psst: Congratulations to aKimey & Miza on their baby daughter's arrival! Comel~

...Ya Allah...

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

Kau kuatkanlah semangatku menempuhi segala cabaranMu,
Kau berikanlah aku sifat kasih sesama insan.

Sekiranya suami ku menyintai kesesatan,

Sekiranya aku tersilap berbuat keputusan,

Sesungguhnya...
Aku lemah tanpa petunjukMu,
Aku buta tanpa bimbinganMu,
Aku cacat tanpa hidayahMu,
Aku hina tanpa RahmatMu.

Ya Allah...
Kuatkan hati dan semangatku,
Tabahkan aku menghadapi segala cubaanMu,
Jadikanlah aku isteri yang disenangi suami,
Bukakanlah hatiku untuk menghayati agamaMu,
Bimbinglah aku menjadi isteri Solehah.
Hanya padaMu Ya Allah ku pohon segala harapan,
Kerana aku pasrah dengan dugaanMu,
Kerana aku sedar hinanya aku,
Kerana aku insan lemah yang kerap keliru,
Kerana aku leka dengan keindahan duniaMu,
Kerana kurang kesabaran ku menghadapi cabaranMu,
Kerana pendek akal ku mengharungi ujianMu.

Ya Allah Tuhanku...
Aku hanya ingin menjadi isteri yang dirahmati,
Isteri yang dikasihi,
Isteri yang solehah,
Isteri yang sentiasa dihati suamiku.

Abdul dearie,

By this day next week, insya Allah, I'll be your wife. Abdul Hasib's wife.

Abdul dearie,

Though I'm absolutely eager to be part of your life & your family, nonetheless, to tell you the truth, I'm actually scared & nervous at the same time.

Abdul dearie,

I'm truly sorry but it seems that all my feelings are mixed up right now. The fear of the unknown haunts me. And despite the fact that I'm sure that we are going to be incredibly happy together, yet, I'm anxious.Still. =(

Abdul dearie,

May Allah reward us with peace of mind and happiness....
May Allah give us guidance with His Deen...
May Allah bless our marriage and this union of ours...
May Allah purify our hearts and our intentions and give us success in building a family of truthful servants...
May Allah protect us all...

At the End of the World, the Adventure Begins

Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) are allied with Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) in a desperate quest to free Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from his mind-bending trap in Davy Jones' locker, while the terrifying ghost ship, The Flying Dutchman and Davy Jones, under the control of the East India Trading Company, wreaks havoc across the Seven Seas. Navigating through treachery, betrayal and wild waters, they must forge their way to exotic Singapore and confront the cunning Chinese Pirate Sao Feng (Chow Yun-Fat). Now headed beyond the very ends of the earth, each must ultimately choose a side in a final, titanic battle, as not only their lives and fortunes, but the entire future of the freedom-loving Pirate way, hangs in the balance ~movies.yahoo.com~

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

Last nite's mood: F.L.O.W.E.R.Y! =)

Why?I Got to see Mr. Depp @ 9p.m. and I got to eat my fav brownies ice cream & the yummy flat rice noodles in spicy Tom Yum soup with king prawns a.k.a Noodle in Tom Yum Kung from SR. Yay!!!

The date? Ooh? It went well.I love the movie as it combines many elements at once: drama, comedy, action - that create constant interest for the viewer like me to stay put and watch it until the end. Good work!

But most of all, I love Mr. Depp's acting as the zany Captain Jack Sparrow.It was brilliant! His acting in every scene is outstanding. Very laid back, but actually rocking out at the same time! I like. =) As known by many, I'm not an animal lover, but to my own surprise, I've fallen in love with the cuteness of Jack, the small capuchin monkey,heh!

My favourite scenes: The scene that shows Mr. Depp in Davy Jones' Locker, alone -doing all the crazy stuff. And the other scene would be, when Mr. Depp asks if anyone came to save him just because they missed him.Comel~

psst: Happy birthDay to my dearest cousin, Miss Aishah Adani Fauzi. Congrats on your convocation & engagement. =) Happy for you, Aish. Hope to meet you someday, so don't stay in NZ for too long, huh? =)

inDecisive

To put the world right in order, we must first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must first put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must first cultivate our personal life; we must first set our hearts right.

One song can spark a moment,
One flower can wake the dream.
One tree can start a forest,
One bird can herald spring.
One smile begins a friendship,
One handclasp lifts a soul.
One star can guide a ship at sea,
One word can frame the goal
One vote can change a nation,
One sunbeam lights a room
One candle wipes out darkness,
One laugh will conquer gloom.
One step must start each journey.
One word must start each prayer.
One hope will raise our spirits,
One touch can show you care.
One voice can speak with wisdom,
One heart can know what's true,
One life can make a difference,
You see, it's up to you!

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

I follow my heart, I believe in my passions and decisions, I chart my own path and I live my life! =) So to that someone who is so indecisive about his current working life...trust your heart...because your heart understands what your head cannot yet conceive =)

~oUr weDding soNg~

To the world you may be one person,but to one person you may be the world.

I guess the time was right for us to say
We'd take our time and live our lives
Together day by day
We'll make a wish and send it on a prayer
We know our dreams can all come true
With love that we can share

With you I never wonder--will you be there for me
With you I never wonder--you're the right one for me
I finally found the love of a lifetime
A love to last my whole life through
I finally found the love of a lifetime
Forever in my heart
I finally found the love of a lifetime

With every kiss, our love is like brand-new
And every star up in the sky
Was made for me and you
Still we both know that the road is long
We know that we will be together
Because our love is strong

I finally found the love of a lifetime
A love to last my whole life through
I finally found the love of a lifetime
Forever in my heart
I finally found the love of a lifetime

Aku?kaU?

It’s perfectly alright to feel anger and frustration. But don’t let these negative emotions take control of your life.

kaNo: sebab aku guna aku dengan beberapa orang termasuk ko. kano tuk orang yg tak n tak berani panggil aku ko. eh! ape da..

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

Having read the above written conversation between k.AM and KaNo, I can't help myself but to feel driven to pen my personal thought on this. Apology to k.AM & kaNo for being Miss Nosey- Parker.Hehe.As much as I dislike listening to bad words and cruel remarks, the usage of the phrases like 'Aku' and 'Kau' is also something that makes me quite uncomfortable. Weird, huh? I know. =)

If you use the words 'Aku' & 'Kau' to converse with me during my childhood days (12 years old and below) - the only reaction that you may find is myself crying =p. Blame my upbringing for that! Just imagine if you say something which is far worse than 'Aku & Kau'!!! Haha!

It's only when I was in Form 2 @TKC, I started to learn how to use 'Aku & Kau', after being forced by my dearest peers. Thanks to them, now I'm good at using them =). Without objecting to the fact that sometimes such phrases reflect the closeness between friends or families, I'm still awkward to use such phrases with other people, other than my TKC friends.

My obvious choice would be - calling myself 'Asni' or 'saya'. But hey, that doesn't mean the usage of 'Aku & Kau' is totally prohibited during any conversation with me okie?!!! =p

Yeah, yeah I know Eddie, I've to get used to it...lalala! =)

There's a lot of stress... but once you get in the car, all that goes out the window.

Smile Always!

Smile man, smile! Always smile!
Smile all life and smile in style;
Smiling makes one worriless;
And makes you happy and less tense.

Let your smile be spontaneous;
Smiling keeps body relaxed,
And makes your mind fit and composed;
Smile man, smile! Smile always!

Smile from dawn to until dusk;
That’s one way to beat life’s stress;
Smile to all who come across;
Smile man, smile! Smile always!

Smile and get forever praise;
It will help you pass your days;
You will never feel malaise;
Smile man, smile! Smile always!

Four muscles help you to smile;
Sixty-four help you to frown;
Smile man smile! Smile all days!
Smile man, smile! Smile always!

~babY, baby, baby~

When I was born, I was so surprised I couldn't talk for a year and a half.

Man we did create from a quintessence (of clay);
Then we placed as (a drop of) sperm (nutfah) in a place firmly fixed;
Then we made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood (‘alaqah);
Then of that clot we made a (fetus) lump (mudghah);
then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh;
then we developed out of it another creature.

(Qur'an 23:12-14).

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

I first heard about the good news from Baraq. I was then accompanied by three bodyguards to Pusat Perubatan Naluri to visit K.Fara and her new born baby. The tiny angel is named Rizq Umair and was born on 7 May 2007. He's so adorable, just take a look at his pic up there! Congratulations K. Fara & Abg Bell!!!

Since we were there up to 9.30 p.m. last night, we got the chance to listen to K.Fara's experiences throughout her labor and delivery. I'll spare the details for now as they are, errr...rather scary... for me at least. =p

And to a.azmir & k.Huda, I would like to send much love and warm wishes on your baby girl's arrival :). Samihah Humaira ~ a beautiful name indeed! Comel!

gOody-gOody???

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.

PETALING JAYA: The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) supports the formation of the National Alliance of Bloggers (All-Blogs), said its president Norila Mohd Daud. She was speaking at the World Press Freedom Day 2007 forum Bloggers: New Breed of Journalists or Online Journal Keepers? at Menara Star here.

"It shows their seriousness in carrying out responsible blogging," she said in an interview later. The NUJ also supported All-Blogs because it cared about press freedom and issues pertinent to nation-building, she said. A group of bloggers met last month to form All-Blogs and the drafting of its constitution would be finalised for submission to the Registrar of Societies, said its pro tem vice-president Jeff Ooi. Forum speaker Ooi said bloggers have not elected themselves as journalists but may have broken news by accident.

He said that according to Technorati, which tracks 55 million bloggers worldwide, only a minority of bloggers addressed current issues. The most blogged topic was food, followed by technology, politics and subsequently public relations, he said. The progress of ICT had changed the way people got their news, no longer only from newspapers but also online, PDAs and mobile phones, said Ooi.

Another panel speaker, human rights lawyer Malik Imtiaz, said bloggers played a critical role in nation-building by providing valuable information on how things worked. Freedom of expression, however, did not mean one could go around slandering others, Malik said. Star Online editor Raslan Sharif said that while journalists and bloggers had a role to play in bringing up important issues that affect society, the public also needs to be more involved. "The people need to rediscover their voice," he said. -NUJ backs bloggers alliance, 5 May 2007, http://star-techcentral.com

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

Why am I blogging? Two major reasons: to stimulate my brain cells and share my personal views with my own small virtual community. Although, I'm not good at icebreaking, but, I'm amazed with how blogging has allowed me to discover people from around the world. Their thoughts and opinions stimulate my own thinking, and that, I think, is a good thing.

Nonetheless, I totally agree with the notion that blogging should not be an occasion to pursue private agenda such as backstabbing/slandering people or other obnoxious behaviours . Being a sensitive person at heart, I can't tolerate the usage of bad words or cruel remarks. It makes me feel sick. Call me a goody-goody but I personally think that you do not need to be damn evil to look "cool". But then again, this is my personal view and I don't know about the rest of you. Everybody is entitled to his own opinion and I respect that individual right.

On a different note, last Saturday, 5 May 2007, was my spa day with Kano. Thanks to Ira and Hida for accompanying us there. And to k.AM, it was nice spending time with you too in my favourite city, Shah Alam! =) ~HugS~

Congratulations to Nawaal & husband on your wedding!!! The reception was held on Sunday, 6 May 2007. ~mUah~

4 days to M.I.H.A.S

We are indeed much more than what we eat, but what we eat can nevertheless help us to be much more than what we are

Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) ranks as the world's largest international halal trade fair, pioneered in 2004, and held every year to congregate the largest annual gathering of halal industry players and entrepreneurs in the effort to ease the sourcing and selling of global quality halal products. It is the world's largest halal trade fair and Malaysia's largest food and beverage exhibition.

MIHAS is organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Entrepreneur & Cooperative Development (MECD) and the Islamic Dakwah Foundation Malaysia (YADIM).

This event is proudly hosted by the Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI). It is managed by Indah Profiles Sdn. Bhd. through a permanent secretariat continuously promoting the halal industry.

[info :www.halal.com.my & pic: postcards.remindreader.com]

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

During a chat with a friend, we discussed about our concerns on the food consumption by Muslims in Malaysia. We think that the probability for the Malaysian Muslims to consume non-halal food is higher than those in foreign, non-Islamic countries. Why? By being a Muslim in a country like Malaysia with Islam as its official religion, will make us less careful about our daily food-taking owing to the fact that Malaysia has its own religious authorities which produce halal certifications and guidelines.

Even if there's no halal sign outside any shop/cafe, we as Muslims in this country tend to presume that the food & beverages served are halal. And that's, to our mind, not the right thing to be done.

Plus, we also afraid that there might be an abuse of the standards that guides halal certifications, which consequently, could lead to the consumption of non-halal food by us, the Muslims in Malaysia.

Just found out about this event from a friend, I'm not sure whether I'll be going or not but hey, what's the worst thing that could happen by sharing the info with you guys, huh? =)

bahasa terindah~

I believe in the religion of Islam. I believe in Allah and peace.

~Bahasa Terindah~

Lyrics: Dato' A Samad Said
Song: Ramli Sarip
Artist: Ramli Sarip

Yang diucap dalam bahasa terindah.
jawapan yang bertanya didengar nabi.
antara kagum dan khusuk setiap ayatnya.
lereng gunung menjadi amat sunyi.
suara saja tegas bergema.
disampai arah berkias maksud serentak, tapi jelas intinya.
awal begitu bergantung, kini tidakkah merdeka, bebas hidupnya.

what asniloveschocolate thinks:

I am lucky. I am 24 and both of my parents are still alive. I don't know why but listening to the above song reminds me of one particular incident. I was having a breakfast with fiance deaRie back in 2005. We had a long talk about serious stuff, including life and death. He told me that he heard somewhere that if all of us were to be in heaven, everybody will be relatively young. I cried. When he asked, I just didn't know how to express what I felt at that time. It's just that I just couldn't accept the idea that my parents will be of the same age as mine. At that time, I felt my parents were taken away from me. I was afraid that I would not be able to recognize them and vice versa. And most importantly, I was afraid that I would lose their parental love. Funny huh? But it's true, I cried until my eyes swelled shut.

But then again, Allah is All-Knowing. It's not right for me to think beyond what I should think. Certain things just cannot be pictured through imagination. Allahuakbar.

Abah, I love you very much. I know it sounds cliche, but I really do. And since tomorrow is your birthday, so here goes:-

Best Dad

Happy birthday to the best dad I know,

A father I love and respect,

A dad who fulfills all his duties

To teach, to guide, to protect.

If everyone had such a father,

A really good dad like mine,

The world would be so much better,

It would look like God’s own design.
